Suspected Mogonye robber hospitalised after mob justice attack

A suspected thief is fighting for his life at Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) after he was brutally assaulted by a mob following a robbery at Mogonye village on Saturday morning.

The man, along with an accomplice who is still on the run, allegedly broke into a home in the early hours of the morning and attacked a 47-year-old woman and her 23-year-old daughter whilst they were asleep.

Confirming the incident, No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae, said the suspects threatened the victims with knives, demanding money and mobile phones.
