Suspected human remains found in bush

According to Palapye Central Police Station assistant commander, Assistant Superintendent Basuti Mmereki, a passerby found the remains and reported the matter to the police.

"We have a case of a man who has been missing since December 16, 2024, and we have since taken the remains to the laboratory for further analysis. However, we can't at this stage link these remains to him, but since we have been looking for him for a while now without any breakthrough, we just want to check if the DNA will match or not as part of our investigations into his case," he said.
