Suspected 'girlfriend' serial killer caught

Police arrested a suspected serial killer yesterday, accused of murdering four women in separate incidents.

Simba Mamphori, 31, a native of Kalakamati village was today arraigned before Extension 11 Magistrate Court. Botswana Police Service’s (BPS) deputy public relations officer, senior superintendent Near Bagali said Mamphori was arrested in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old woman of Bontleng in Gaborone. The murder was committed on Sunday. 

Bagali said the suspect is also linked to another murder incident, which occurred last Tuesday in Gaborone in which a 39-year-old woman of Molepolole was found dead with stab wounds.
