Student gang-raped walking from bars

PALAPYE: Mahalapye police are investigating a case in which a 17-year-old student was gang-raped while walking home from the bars on Saturday night.

Mahalapye police station commander, Superintendent Isaac Mamadi said the victim, who is a Form Two student, was raped by a group of four men suspected to be aged between 22 and 23 at around 11pm.

“According to the victim, she was walking with her friends from the bars on Saturday and while on the way a group of men came from the opposite direction.
