Shoshong constituency councillors pledge loyalty to BDP

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councilors and constituency members in Shoshong have distanced themselves from the defection of their Member of Parliament, Phillip Makgakemele to the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD).

Expressing contempt at their MP's defection, the five signatories point out that he defected with the BDP seat without even consulting anybody. The press statement, written in Setswana, describes Makgalemele's defection as inconsiderate.
