Saleshando to meet Boko over cooperation

Botswana Congress Party (BCP) president Dumelang Saleshando has said he will meet with his Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) counterpart, Duma Boko to discuss cooperation in this year's general elections.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday at the President Hotel in Gaborone, Saleshando said BCP is ready to back other opposition parties especially the UDC in constituencies where it will not field a candidate.

He warned BCP members to desist from attacking UDC since it is not the ruling party. However, he warned that even if they strike a cooperation deal, BCP will not dance to the tune of UDC.
