Veteran sport administrator, Olebile Sikwane, has been picked ahead of others as the next CEO of the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC), MmegiSport has learnt.

The BNSC board is expected to make the announcement next week, and he will report for duty in mid-January on a four-year contract. Sikwane was reportedly selected by Sport and Arts minister Jacob Kelebeng ahead of stiff competition of sport’s heavyweights.

He beat the Botswana Football Association (BFA) CEO, Mfolo Mfolo, the Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA) senior manager, Game Mothibi and Matlala Seitshiro, a former director at the BNSC.
