Rev Tiego jailed, to appear in court

Controversial pastor, Reverend Thuso Tiego was this morning arrested during a protest march to the Office of the President.

Reverend Thuso Tiego has since been detained and is reportedly charged for violating the Public Order Act and demonstrating without a permit along with two other pastors. The pastors are due to appear in court tomorrow morning.

Tiego was briefly held at the Broadhurst Police Station where some of his followers gathered and called for his release before they were violently dispersed. Scores of Tiego's supporters were also arrested.
