Rammidi joins BCP today

Kanye North MP Kentse Rammidi is expected to join the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) today. The legislator defected from the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) early this year to join the Botswana National Front (BNF).

Sources close to the MP indicate that he does not feel at home in his new political home and prefers the BCP.

Infact they say he would have long joined the party from the BDP, but felt he might not return to Parliament as his constituency and Kanye as a whole, is a BNF stronghold. Now new information reaching The Monitor is that Rammidi has identified Gaborone South as a place where he will contest the next general elections and now feels free to leave the BNF. Sources reveal that he will officially join the BCP today. When contacted for comment, BCP president Dumelang Saleshando said they have been recruiting Rammidi for sometime.
