While political power may appear glamorous and rewarding, it often comes with painful sacrifices that many families silently endure. Although relatives usually support one family member’s decision to enter politics because it is part of democracy, the reality of political life eventually begins to take its toll at home.

Initially, families celebrate when their loved ones rise through political ranks, win elections or secure influential positions.

However, as political responsibilities increase, family time gradually disappears.
