Police nab second Rakops fugitive

FRANCISTOWN: Rakops police have nabbed a second fugitive out of the four who escaped from custody while being transported from Maun Prison to Letlhakane Magistrate's Court two weeks ago.

The two re-arrested escapees hail from Rakops while the ones still at large are from Boteti and Maun respectively.One is facing an armed robbery charge while his accomplice is wanted for shop breaking.

After the escape, the police launched a massive manhunt for the four men. Rakops Police Station commander, Assistant Superintendent, Onneetse Dumelang has said they apprehended the second fugitive on Monday while he was on his way to Letlhakane magistrate's court.
