A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after sustaining serious head injuries in a road accident that occurred a few metres from the Dibete Barrier Gate recently.

The young man was a passenger in a Toyota Wish that had stopped in traffic ahead of the checkpoint when it was hit from behind by a speeding Nissan NP300.

The impact forced the Toyota Wish into another vehicle, a combi transporting students. Dibete Police Station assistant commander, Assistant Superintendent Modisana Seleka, confirmed the incident, stating that the injured passenger suffered head injuries and complained of back pain, and he is currently hospitalised at Mahalapye Hospital.
