MAKOPONG: Political parties are preparing for a showdown in the Kgalagadi South constituency in a bye-election to fill the void left by the recent passing of area Member of Parliament (MP) and Minister of Lands and Agriculture, Dr. Micus Chimbombi.

Dr. Chimbombi, who won the seat under the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) banner in 2024 General Election, was laid to rest on Saturday at Makopong, his home village.
