Paramount Chief Raises Alarm On Tlokweng Lands Sales

Batlokwa paramount chief, Puso Gaborone, has raised alarm over the rising sale of land in Tlokweng. The chairman of Ntlo Ya Dikgosi (House of Chiefs) is worried that at the rate at which Batlokwa are selling land, especially farming fields, Tlokweng may face a land crisis by 2025.

Addressing residents of Botshabelo and Khayakgolo wards, he said land sales in Tlokweng have escalated in recent times and by 2025, the crisis may result in disputes.

“It is said that this trend has hit our village so hard and it is so unfortunate that farming fields are the ones that are sold to people that don’t even use them for farming,” he lamented.
