FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana National Front (BNF) publicity secretary Moeti Mohwasa may renege on his decision to resign from his position at next month's elective congress.

Inside sources said some party leaders, among them president Duma Boko, have pleaded with Mohwasa to consider defending his position. The BNF firebrand announced last month that he intends to quit his position in the central committee in Gantsi next month citing personal commitments.

Although he did not explain in detail, Mohwasa is said to be of the view that his close involvement in party activities has disturbed his businesses.Mohwasa is also positioning himself for the Selebi Phikwe West Parliamentary seat and is said to hold a view that juggling both the central committee position and preparing for the general elections may be unbearable for him. However senior party members reportedly want Mohwasa to seek another term as publicity secretary arguing that he still has a lot to offer the party.
