Man dies in fatal Mahalapye crash

Mahalapye police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred early Sunday morning in which a 44-year-old man lost his life on the spot after a VW Beetle he was driving collided with a truck.

According to No 16 district traffic officer, Superintendent Tuelo Komanyane, the deceased was driving alone when the accident happened. He revealed that the accident, which was reported at around 2:45am, occurred near Mahalapye bridge.

Komanyane stated that the truck was driven by a 27-year-old man who was in the company of two passengers—a four-year-old child and a 25-year-old man—and they all escaped the accident uninjured.
