Makgalemele denies receiving P1.5m from BDP

Though there is talk that he received a hefty P1.5 million cheque (BDP) to induce him to come back, BDP legislator Phillip Makgalemele has vehemently denied this.

In an interview with Mmegi, Makgalemele refuted claims that he was given the fat cheque by some high-ranking BDP officials to clear his debts.

"I wish I could have that kind of money. I have never been at peace with myself with the decision I took to leave the BDP. This has nothing to do with money. I just met and talked with Mpho Moruakgomo (BDP activist) and MP Prince Maele and decided to come back," he said.
