Lobatse mayor toppled

Over the weekend, the BDP councillors at Lobatse held a caucus to topple the mayor Essop Pandora and his deputy Tinny Dinoko. Both the mayor and deputy are alleged to be anti-Masisi since they support the area Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Thapelo Matsheka. 

It has since become very evident that some Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) members are voting out those perceived to be anti-President Mokgweetsi Masisi in key positions.

There is a temporary team within the BDP calling itself ‘Sireletsa party, sireletsa Tautona’ which is alleged to be secretly led by a party sub-committee called Political Education and Elections Committee (PEEC).

BDP primaries leave a lot to be desired

The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case.
