Man aged 22 pleads guilty to raping septuagenarian

Appearing for an arraignment today before Senior Magistrate, Venetia Moruakgomo, Omphile Kesotegile from Otse village in Kgaimena ward, was slapped with a single count of rape.

It is alleged that he sexually violated a septuagenarian. “The accused person Omphile Kesotlegile on May 4, 2026, at or near Ditswaaladi cattlepost in the Central Administrative District in the Republic of Botswana unlawfully had canal knowledge of the victim (names known to this publication) without her consent,” read the charge sheet.
