The Minister of Basic Education (MOBE), Dr Unity Dow says government is committed to equipping the learners with technological skills that will enable them to become globally competitive.

Dow was speaking at a ceremony held at her ministry headquarters recently, in appreciation of 102 tablets donated to her ministry by the Korean government. She said the gesture came at the opportune time her ministry is overseeing national education system transformation.  She said, even though it would be ideal to have every child own a tab, budget constraints are limiting the ministry efforts to achieve such.

“We are very appreciative of the cooperation between government of Botswana, through Ministry of Basic Education and the Korean Government, through which we receive donation such as ICT devices”, Dow said.
