Khama appoints Gaborone High Commissioner

President Ian Khama has appointed former South East North Member of Parliament, Olebile Gaborone, as Botswana’s High Commissioner designate to the Republic of Mozambique.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the 69-year-old Gaborone brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into his position of High Commissioner. Prior to his appointment, he was a Member of Parliament for Tlokweng Constituency formerly known as South East North from 2004 to 2014.

He once served as Leader of Opposition when he was vice president of the Botswana National Front (BNF).
