Inquorate lawyers' meeting fails again

The Law Society of Botswana (LSB) has failed to hold its annual general meeting again. BLS had organised an AGM for January 17 for the election of a new council and the briefing of members about the suspension of the organisation's Executive Secretary, Patricia Makhoana, among other things.

LSB failed to hold its AGM in December last year when it failed to form a quorum and deferred the meeting to last Saturday.

In an interview with Mmegi this week, LSB chairman Duma Boko said it was regrettable that another meeting had failed to form a quorum because lawyers did not turn up.
