A statement released by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development in Gaborone yesterday says the number represents a transition rate of 61 percent, an increase of 7 percent from last year.
In the statement, principal public relations officer, Nomsah Zuze said the cut-off point was set at 45.61 percent, which is an upper Grade C pass. This follows the overall performance of the just released 2010 JCE, which has shown a slight decline in the pass rate of 0.4 percent compared to the 2009 results.
