According to Tlokweng Police Station commander, Superintendent Baboneng Modiegi, the tragedy unfolded shortly after 7 am when neighbours overheard the couple quarrelling.
He said the heated exchange was followed by an unusual silence, which raised alarm amongst other tenants. “Neighbours knocked on their door but got no response, prompting them to report the matter to the police,” Modiegi said.
