SELEBI-PHIKWE: Botswana Council of Churches (BCC) representative, Rose Anderson, says it is important for churches to help disseminate information on the election process.

Speaking during a consultative meeting organised by Party Liason Committee (PLC) on Tuesday, Anderson said many churches lagged behind when it came to providing electoral information to their members.

She said that it was time churches took the responsibility to provide voter education to their members. Churches should help the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) ensure that Batswana acquire knowledge on how elections are run.
