TSAMAYA: The Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) has warned the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) to stop using foul language at political rallies. Richard Gudu, the BPP chairman has said the BCP has been using foul language to discredit and mock his party.

He said at a rally in Tsamaya in the North East District that BCP should desist from the cheap politics of insulting the BPP at public rallies. He said the BPP does not have time to trade barbs with the BCP because there are better issues to discuss.

“The BCP has got the tendency of referring to BPP as a dead party. But let me warn the foulmouthed BCP activists against the idea. As politicians, we should devote our time to educating our supporters and informing them of our respective agendas,” said Gudu at the welcoming ceremony of nominated councillor Chibuya Patrick Kuchwe who defected from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) to BPP.
