Botswana wants irrigation water foor Pandamatenga

Botswana is looking at abstracting 495 million m3 from the Chobe River, where it meets the Zambezi River.

About 395 million m3 of the water will be used for irrigation purposes and the balance will go for domestic use in Pandamatenga.

According to the Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, a decision has not yet been made as to when the scheme will commence, mainly due to the sophistication of its different components.
