In a move set to invigorate the educational prospects for prospective students, the Minister of Education and Skills Development (MESD), Dr Douglas Letsholathebe, has announced an increase in sponsorship funds by 11.45% for the 2024/2025 cycle.

Launching the sponsorship cycle this week, Letsholathebe stated that for the past years, the ministry has been working tirelessly trying to secure more funds to sponsor students. He stressed that their efforts had not borne fruits up until this year. “We have been given money as the Ministry of Education because year in and year out we have been asking for funds without luck.

But, today we are happy to say that this year there has been a little increment of 11.45% to sponsor students,” Letsholathebe said. He further added that the increment is a good on the part of government and they should be lauded as the move propels the ministry to sponsor more students this year through different categories.
