Bobirwa Sub-Council launch in March 2011

BOBONONG: The official launch of Bobirwa Sub-District has been set for March next year. The Sub-District has been created to decentralise services in the vast Central District.

The official launch is mean to publicise the Sub-District and give various departments the chance to exhibit their processes and services. Already, there is a Bobirwa sub-council chaired by Ishmael Legwaila who said that committees from local and central government have been put in place to prepare for the launch.

He said the government's drive to establish sub-councils in the country is good for service delivery because it brings services closer to the people. Currently the on-going development projects in Bobirwa are the construction of Mmadinare Senior Secondary School, Thune dam, Dikgatlhong dam, Bobonong-Tsetsebjwe road, Motloutse bridge in Motlhabaneng and Thune bridge.
