Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Gaborone region has written a complaint letter to the party central committee against the conduct of its chairperson, specially nominated councillor Macdonald Peloetetse.

In their letter signed on November 21 by deputy treasurer, Lebogang Mosope, treasurer, Aron Mokgethi and secretary, Ontibile Kgomoyarona, the region says Peloetetse does not respect internal democratic processes and makes unilateral decisions and informs committee members via WhatsApp.

The letter says, “He does not wait for a formal meeting to take place so as to table a matter on the agenda for discussion and resolution by the committee. The chairperson never discusses with the committee any issue about the vehicle which was allocated for the use of the region except one occasion whereby he told the committee that the vehicle needed P10,000 to be repaired. We are too suspicious that he is using the vehicle to run his own things”.
