The African National Congress (ANC) has issued a statement of condolences following the passing of the founding president of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP), Michael Dingake.

Dingake passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 96.

“His legacy as an internationalist who wholeheartedly embraced the struggle for freedom in South Africa and across the continent will forever be remembered,” the statement reads.
