The Extension II Magistrate, Jobby Gaosikelwe yesterday granted bail to four men and a woman facing five counts of defrauding Naledi Motors of over P1.2 million.

The five - Steven Matambo (37), Ronald Dipholo (43), Brian Stock (34), Gotsileene Paakanye (34), and the only woman, Gloria Mmaletsatsi-Paul (36), stand accused of obtaining by false pretences the money amounting to P1,028,490. Yesterday Sub Inspector Motlalepula Sello told the court that since the matter is still fresh, investigations are underway. She said that the accused had just been arrested and should be remanded in custody. The suspects’ lawyer, Friday Leburu, however noted that the accused had been detained since Thursday.
