The Xere Cultural Festival Sundowner turned out to be a bliss as attendees were treated to the first ever Drones Show in the country on Friday night.

The show made up for the missed sunset at the Sundowner event that is usually hosted by the pans. The pans perfectly display the beautiful orange sunset, making the venue intimate, refreshing and make the sun look a lot closer to revellers. It was also perfect for taking beautiful pictures. The landscape sealed the perfection and the beauty of mother nature and seeing that beauty in local soils gives a sense of pride. Even though many people missed the magical sunset, the Drone Show made up for the lost opportunity and stole the limelight through a spectacular display.

When they ascended up the sky, many were thrilled by the beautiful pattern they formed. They looked like stars. They were in rows before their controllers wowed the audience. That was just the beginning. The show exhibited the Sesarwa culture and also celebrated local athlete, Letsile Tebogo, who recently won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. In their first pattern, controllers displayed a pattern written Igai Xere, the star, the bow and arrow where the bow later moved as if it was shot, the quarter moon and stars, Olympics medal, moving diamond, medal written number one and finally wrote the Pula sign that represents the country.
