The festival that is centred on artists from the Okavango area, this time around managed to include an artist from the south in the name of Tumza and the Big Bullets. The show organiser Kebadile Wasenda, also known as Kaybee in music circles, told Showbiz in an interview that this time the festival has grown and managed to attract sponsorship from Mascom, Dropping Keys, Amicable Stewards Tutorials, Wapanawa Photography, L.V.P, Highlight Caterers and Visual Presence.
She said they have been in need of a proper stage and sound for the past two years and the sponsors have stepped up to ensure a memorable festival for the revelers in Okavango. Kaybee said the lineup include local artists amongst others Chris Manto 7 of Zwaka Presa fame and a Namibian artist called Ayce Flame. “Unlike last year, where we brought three artists from Namibia, this year we want more locals to dominate the lineup,” she highlighted.
It is not uncommon in this part of the world for parents to actually punish their children when they show signs of depression associating it with issues of indiscipline, and as a result, the poor child will be lashed or given some kind of punishment.
