Renowned artist ATI has unveiled his new Extended Play (EP) titled 'Mankalakaleng', which translates to 'we’re going to the top'.

This title serves as a significant marker in his career, reflecting not only his aspirations but also the support he has received from his fans and collaborators.

The release comes after a considerable hiatus since his last album, making this EP a timely reflection of his artistic journey. In an interview with MmegiOnline, ATI explained that the EP captures the essence of his evolution as an artist. “It’s been a while since I last dropped an album and Mankalakaleng captures not just where I’ve been as an artist but where I’m going,” he said. He stated that this project embodies themes of growth and resilience, illustrating how his experiences have shaped his music over time. ATI further explains that each track on the EP represents a chapter of his life, encapsulating both the challenges he has faced and the triumphs he has celebrated.

"The production of 'Mankalakaleng' involved a diverse team of talented individuals, including Dintleonthetrack, Royal DJ, Slim Kidd, and Bomber Beats, each contributing their unique sound to the project. This collaborative effort highlights the importance of teamwork in the creative process," he added.

ATI further expressed his appreciation for these contributions, particularly acknowledging Veezo View for the tracks they created together, which he believes added a new dimension to the EP.

Beyond the music itself, ATI emphasised the crucial role his fans play in his creative journey. “Your support has been the foundation of everything I do. You’ve stood by me, and it’s because of you that I continue to create with passion and purpose," he said.

This sentiment underscores the communal aspect of his artistry, where the connection with listeners is essential to his motivation and success.

Through this EP, he aims to convey the message that success is a shared journey, reinforcing the idea that "it’s not about me, it’s not about you, it’s all about the people".
