Miss World Botswana has created a once in a lifetime opportunity for one lucky Motswana to win a trip to India for the 72nd Miss World finale which will be held on May 31, 2025.

Through a partnership with ForceNet Service provider, Miss World Botswana has launched a competition dubbed a 'Trip to India' which will see the winner travel to the Asian country in all expenses paid excursion. A statement from the organisers said the competition runs from April 16 to May 16, 2025. "Miss World Botswana is proud to announce the launch of the Trip to India, SMS competition offering participants a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the 72nd World 2025 in Tengalara, India and support Miss World Botswana Anicia Gaothusi as she represents the nation on an international stage," the press released stated.

Miss World Botswana said the winner of the competition will not only get double ticket to the event, but will be provided with accommodation for four nights, meals, travel insurance and granted full access to the Miss World Competition. Organisers added that for one to be eligible they need to hold Botswana citizenship while competitors should be aged 18 and above. Meanwhile, Miss World Botswana employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the challenge. On the other hand, aspiring participants are advised to at least follow one official Miss World Botswana social media platform pages with failure to do so resulting in a disqualification.

Though the grand prize is a trip to India, Miss World Botswana noted that other participants could be lucky to win weekly giveaways which include P1,000 airtime vouchers. All winners will be announced on RB2. "To participate individuals must send an SMS containing MISSWORLDBW-INDIA18+ to 17272 at a cost of P2 per SMS," stated Miss World Botswana. The SMS code is accessible to all mobile networks.
