The newly crowned Miss Botswana, Magdeline Angel Modipane, is the true definition of the expression second time is a charm. A year ago, she stood among the finalists and exited at the Top 5. This past weekend, she returned to the same stage and emerged as the winner. Speaking during an introductory visit to Mmegi offices this week, the 25-year-old University of Botswana student said her comeback was deliberate.

“I tried in 2025 and only made Top 5. After that, I had to reflect on my journey and identify where I needed to improve,” she said.

The Tonota native shares she took time to work on herself, both in terms of pageantry and personal growth.
