As Botswana prepares to celebrate six decades of independence, the spotlight this weekend will fall on the grand finale of the Miss Botswana 2026 competition which takes centre stage at Molapo Creative Hub.

To be held under the theme Diamond Jubilee, the event forms part of the country’s broader celebrations of 60 years of independence, aligning the pageant with the national narrative of growth, identity and pride. Organisers say the finale will not only crown a new queen but also celebrate the evolving role of young Batswana women as ambassadors of culture and purpose.

According to organisers, the pageant finale is designed to mirror the spirit of Botswana Independence Day celebrations, highlighting the country’s journey since independence while reflecting on its beauty.
