BFL board pushes back against motion of no confidence

There were attempts to pass a vote of no confidence on the BFL board led by Sipho Showa, but the move did not materialise. According to Saturday's agenda, there is no room for a motion of no confidence again, with Showa indicating that it is not provided for in the constitution.

"It has never been and will not be (in the agenda) for the simple reason that there is no provision in the BFL constitution for a motion of no confidence to be used to create a vacancy or vacancies on the board. The unfairness of a motion of no confidence mechanism is that the mover becomes the complainant, prosecutor, and judge, which is against the principle of natural justice," Showa said.
