Local music lovers are set for another electrifying performance as South African award-winning singer, Makhadzi, returns to Botswana for a one-woman show scheduled for September 12, 2026, at Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng.

The event is being organised by local promoter Gilbert ‘PP wa Pimp’ Seagile, who says preparations are already underway to deliver a bigger and better experience following the success of the artist’s previous show in Botswana. Speaking in an interview with Arts&Culture, Seagile said Batswana still have fond memories of Makhadzi’s last performance in the country and continue to show love for the Limpopo-born musician. “We want this one to be bigger and better because people still have memories of the last show, and they know Makhadzi does not disappoint.

They have missed her, and many have never seen her perform some of her new songs live,” he said. Makhadzi last staged a one-woman show in Botswana in 2022, attracting a huge turnout and cementing her position as one of the country’s favourite foreign acts. Her energetic dance routines and crowd engagement have made her a household name among local fans. Seagile explained that the show was never intended to become an annual event, but growing demand from Batswana convinced organisers to bring it back. “Nothing happened. It was just never meant to be an annual event in Botswana. But after seeing many Batswana attending the South African edition, we decided to bring back the Botswana one, and that is where the idea started,” he said.
