Madi Majwana Gets P5m Support

In a quest to make to promote young talent and guided it into a better life, Barclays Bank has contributed close to P5 million to support Madi Majwana: Stories in your pocket group.

“The project was mainly to interrogate Botswana about money-related issues that Batswana face in their day-to-day lives through drama and poetry,” said Barclays Bank Managing Director,  Keabetswe Pheko-Moshagane.

She further highlighted that the project unearthed deeper understanding of different problems. “Evoking dialogue and awareness around these issues has significantly contributed in finding tangible solutions,” she said. In celebrating milestones Madi Majwana reached, Pheko-Moshagane said the project has now evolved to include radio drama, public debates, documentaries and financial literacy festivals.
