Kwa Ga Modipe to host 80s & 90s vibes fest

“Ladies, dust off those chokers. Fellas practice your B-boy stance and make sure that Adidas tracksuit still fits, you know you gotta roll one leg up”. That’s the call from the organisers of the “80s and 90s vibes” music festival as they prepare to host the show considered to be for the ‘grown and the sexy’.

On March 26, all roads lead to the newly popular joint Kwa Ga Modipe located at Oodi for 80s and 90s vibes festival dubbed “Re a di busa”. Kwa Ga Modipe is a restaurant and private events venue with a beautiful outdoor space and garden.

Revellers are expected to jive to the tunes of the 80s and 90s, and offer the grown an opportunity to reminisce on their past good old days. On the decks, DJ Spinz, DJ Boogie Sid and DJ Kellz will are expected to set the stage ablaze playing the theme music for the whole night. According to the event organiser, Keolebogile Diswai, the festival aims to respond to 60s to the 90s crowd who often say there is not much to do in Gaborone and there are not enough spaces for them to have fun. She said the festival will take the patrons vibrant journey down memory lane.
