Last week Thursday night, BOT50 Independence Eve at the National Stadium in Gaborone, one of President Ian Khama’s security details, those suited men that always wear a jacket no matter how hot it is, tapped the Btv videographer stationed between the VIP Grand Stand and the pitch – where Dr Vom was performing his hit, Thobane, to alert him about what was happening behind the cameras up at the VVIP booth where Khama was seated with visiting dignitaries.

The President and Minister Thapelo Olopeng were busy relishing on some dikgware beat as they danced to Thobane. This week we caught up with Dr Vom, whose real name is Kangangwani Mogocha, to share about what a minute of Khama’s dance did to his song and fame.
