With one man shows currently trending, local events company, Dark Knights Events in Partnership with Piano Hub will host Kabza De Small’s One Man Show at Baisago University Marquee on March 19, 2022.

Kabza De Small needs no introduction in the Amapiano music genre as he is also one of the pioneers of the type of music. The artist who made his breakthrough in 2018 played an instrumental role in popularizing the Amapiano genre and is now considered as one of the best artists of Amapiano. Kabza De Small Record Label is the owner of Piano Hub record label.

Dark Knights Events on the other side was established and registered last year. According to Dark Knights director, Thapelo Koitsiwe, Kabza De Small's one man show is a continuation of the Abalele hitmaker’s one man shows previously hosted in South Africa. Koitsiwe indicated that their relationship with Piano Hub started when they kept booking artists from Kabdza’s stable and in the end they managed to have a good working relationship. “That's when they put the opportunity on the table and the rest was history,” he further said. He said Dark Knights then invited Sterling Creations for a local collaboration in making sure that they give nothing but the best show.

Koitsiwe also said Kabza De Small One Man Show is not just a music festival but a lifestyle event. “It's set up is totally different from other shows, for the first time we will have a show of such calibre hosted in a Marquee, with three different VIPs not counting the separate artist lounge. It's going to be more intimate with less dancefloors but more sitting areas,” he highlighted.

Koitsiwe said so far since they officially registered with CIPA they have hosted Adiwele hitmaker Young Stunna in Francistown, Daliwonga in Francistown, Black Motion at DC Tours Lounge and helped in coordination of the Kanye Festive Explosion which was held on the December 24, 2021. “But our biggest event which attracted a few sponsors and made PianoHub see us as fit to host Kabza's one man show was the one we hosted on the November 28, 2021 themed Piano in the City.

Here we attracted just a good small number of at least 1500 people, we had a well-organized show, nailed all the logistics and everything on point, I think with me that's our biggest highlight of 2021 since birth of Dark Knights Events,” Koitsiwe told Showtime in an interview.

He recalled that on New Year’s Eve they managed to collaborate with other companies and hosted three events in three different places on the same night. He disclosed that it was a challenge as it was the first time stretching to that level, but they we successful.

He said a lot of artists who are close to Kabza in SA are looking forward to this show and will be open to immediately collaborate with them and bring their concepts here in Botswana. “Piano Hub BW experience is already in the bag with dates to be communicated, in this one expect to see all Piano Hub artists, including supporting acts.

Another event in our calendar coming on the last Saturday of November is Piano in the City, this one will be fireworks. We are taking it to another level.” Early bird ticket costs P150, standard ticket is sold at P200, double ticket costs P250 while VIP ticket is sold at P1000. Tickets for the event are available at Web Tickets and Spar outlets countrywide.

Khama, Serogola should find each other

Khama’s announcement to take over as Kgosikgolo was met with jubilation by some, but it also exposed deep-seated divisions. The Bogosi Act, which clearly states that a Mothusa Kgosi cannot be removed without the minister’s involvement, serves as a crucial legal safeguard. This law is designed to prevent arbitrary decisions and ensure stability within traditional leadership structures. The tension between Khama and Serogola has been simmering...
