Inter Galactics wars, end of earth

Another invasion is threatening our precious planet earth, so if you are a huge fan of Tranformers, Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy and other space films then Jupiter Ascending is no different.

This Adventure Sci-Fi brings planet earth to a standstill as aliens seek to inherit it from us. These types of movies are always exhilarating to watch as they always deal with the extraordinary, exotic fantasy worlds. The movies usually show a resourceful saint like character struggling against incredible odds from a villain.

Jupiter Ascending is also pretty good because of some familiar faces in the thick of the action; we see muscular action figure, Channing Titum, putting his strength to good use kicking butt as (Caine Wise) a genetically engineered ex-military fighter and hunter. Innocent looking, Mila Kunis, plays a leading role as Jupiter an earth inhabitant who is at first clueless that she is a genetic reincarnation of an alien queen. These actors are synonymous for having featured in successful films like Ted and White House Down from 2012 and 2013 respectively. Now this movie is from the same filmmakers who gave us the platinum selling Matrix trilogy movie series, in Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, which explains why Jupiter Ascending looks visually vibrant and stunning.

Watching this film gives you a reminiscent feeling of films like Star Wars and Guardians of The Galaxy. What is unique about this movie is the creative aspect of it, the gadgets and special effects. Some of the fascinating scenes include Caine Wise’s reliance on special type of jet boots to fly on planet earth and in space. Weapons used are also highly sophisticated with electric powered guns and shields.

While Jupiter Ascending good and looks ravishing hands down, this Sci-Fi lacked that X-factor. When watching it, one would feel that Jupiter Ascending is far too long with extended fight scenes without dialogue.

The movie falls short with regard to interesting conversation and humor. The movie however saves the day with amazing fantasy exaggerations of real life events. In one of the scenes, Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) is being surrounded by a swarm of bees worshiping her. This in my view was totally invigorating and one of the thrilling moments of this film amongst others.

Jupiter Ascending is about a family, which has ruled life on every habitable planet in the universe for millennia: The House of Abrasax. Following the death of its matriarch, the three primary heirs, Balem, Kalique and Titus are at war, and the state of their dynasty is in turmoil. Another heir emerges whose claim may be even greater than theirs. A young destitute woman born on Earth unknowingly carries a genetic legacy that entitles her to power beyond her imagination and the fate of her planet. With the help of an ex-military hunter who becomes her only ally, Jupiter Jones is forced to leave her ordinary existence behind and confront her true destiny.

The funny thing about this plot in the movie is that the alien Abrasax siblings, Balem, Kalique and Titus regard planet earth as a farm under which they need to harvest life in order to generate a syndrome, which makes them younger.

Fascinating movie quote Kalique Abrasax explaining to Jupiter Jones why they harvest earth as it keeps them young “How old do you think I am? I have lived for 14 millenniums, I’m 14 thousand years old”

Jupiter Ascending opened this weekend worldwide and it wasn’t well received as it only made it to number three on the chart. This is bad looking at the fact that the current number 1 movie is the movie version of Spongebob Squarepants cartoons. Hence this suggest that maybe Jupiter Ascending will not follow suit on the success of other box office Sci-Fi smash hits like Guardians of The Galaxy and Transformers.

This movie has this far only accumulated U.S $19 million. For viewing experience Jupiter gets only a 6.5/10. With the premiere of other hugely anticipated films like the Kingsman and the love driven Fifty Shades Of Grey looming this Friday, one wonders how Jupiter Ascending will perform against such stiff competition on the big screen.

What about employees in private sector?

How can this be achieved when there already is little care about the working conditions of those within the private sector employ? For a long time, private sector employees have been neglected by their employers, not because they cannot do better to care for them, but because they take advantage of government's laxity when it comes to protecting and advocating for public sector employees, giving the cue to employers within the private sector...
