For years, the Mascom Live Session stage has carved out a reputation as the meeting place for musical generations where Botswana’s most promising talents collide with legendary acts from across the border.

On Friday night at Botswana Craft, after a notable hiatus, the tradition was revived yet again with a lineup that paired local sensation, Ezra Neethings with South African legend, Ringo Madlingozi.

It was, in every sense, a meeting of the old and the new and this time, the new held its own with surprising force.
