This year Hope Pageants Botswana hosts both its auditions virtually. According to the pageant’s director, Tlhatlogo ‘Sera’ Madiba they will avoid physical auditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This beauty pageant is an international Christian based pageant focusing on community service rather than glitz and glamor. Everyone aged between 13 to 27 years of age is allowed to partake in the auditions. They will be done virtually by contacting us on 71365372 due to COVID-19 pandemic. They are open from August 19 until 27, 2021. This year, the pageantry is more virtual and Top 20 will be selected per each category namely Miss Teen Hope and Miss Hope categories. It is high time we instill technology usage to Batswana and foreign culture to be adopted and embraced,” she said.

Madiba also pointed out that the grand finale will be showcased live adding that it would also be aired virtually through zoom. The grand finale will be held on October 30, 2021. She explained that she was aware of challenges brought by the pandemic but stated that did not put the world to halt but required people to adjust to their circumstances.
