The windy heavy down pours, which recently invaded Gaborone disrupted live Summer of 79’ opening show this past Friday at the Grand Palm Hotel’s open arena.

Summer of 79 is a live musical show whereby an ensemble dubbed Summer of 79 which comprises of artists such as Vivien Dakpo, saxophonist Terry Lewis, Leroy Nyoni, Cedric Ncube, Zuziwe and Debbie with a T perform cover tracks from the olden days derived from the likes of David Bowie, Temptations, Led Zepplin, David Bowie and Prince.

The event started on hyped up note with the band jamming to a full house. It was a friendly environment that had people seated on blankets, and camp chairs enjoying the music.
