Gov’t clears Davido performance confusion

Whilst a lot of his local followers were eagerly waiting to witness Nigerian sensation, Davido in his element this coming Sunday, Mmegi online can confirm that the afrobeat superstar will not perform at the Pan African welcome celebration on Sunday.

The free music event, which only requires one to register to attend will be hosted at the Gaborone main mall. Many thought the announcement of Davido attending the Forbes under 30 Summit in Botswana would afford them an opportunity to watch him perform live. However, Mmegi Online can confirm that Davido will only perform for the select few. This was confirmed by Emmanuel Letshiwiti , one of the local Forbes under 30 summit organisers.

“Yes people were looking forward to his performance. However we have a star studded line-up comprising other international and our own local acts. There was a miscommunication regarding where he is performing and that has since been clarified as he will be performing at an exclusive event attended by all the Delegates at the Bush Party,”Letshwiti said.
