GIMC’s first-ever Afro Tech fest set for next month

After hosting their first ever event following an 18 months absence due to COVID-19 last December, multi disciplinary event, the Gaborone International Music and Culture Week (GIMC) is back, this time around with a new baby.

GIMC will on April 16, host a music show dubbed the Afro Tech Fest, a new event to the stable. The event will be held at Purple Paradise and Experience. The annual GIMC, which has gained popularity as one of the biggest events in Southern Africa over the years, is scheduled to finally make a return this year, also marking its ninth anniversary.

According to the founder and event organiser of GIMC Fish Pabalinga, the Afro Tech fest has been added to the list of the stable as part of the build up to the main event billed for September.
